Education

Education is one of the essential pillars for development and sustainability. Alsohba seeds within selected Egyptian national public school students needing scaffolded learning approaches. Aiming to ensure a deeper knowledge and understanding of a variety of subjects, not limited to knowledge from books rather from trips to historical monuments.

Our tools include, online learning to prepare students for learning approaches suitable to the 21st Century, implementing excursions to museums and archaeological sites preceded by hard work and researches for the targeted areas, interactive lectures in history, human development, and current events, mid-year camps & summer camps that include workshops related to Science & Math.
Prior to trips, workshops are completed in collaboration with Alfy Foundation, extracurricular courses that are not typically offered at schools such as human development courses & computer courses.
By the end of the mentioned activities, our students get a sense of mastering intrinsic performance and are influenced to take their first step to grow a successful life.

Over the years, we have collected nothing but positive and impactful feedback from students who have participated in our various programs. Many of them have reported improved educational grades, gained academic recognition, secured jobs, and even entered competitions. This feedback is what keeps us motivated to continue investing in this program and offering it to students in need.

At Alsohba, we recognize the importance of English as a language of international communication, media, and the internet. That’s why we host English language programs for students every year. Through our programs, we aim to provide students with a solid foundation in English, which can boost their chances of employability and increase their self-confidence and self-dependency. From our experience working with students over the years, we have seen that learning English also enhances their overall learning process and opens up additional opportunities for them.

Through our experience, we have found that stepping outside of the traditional classroom setting allows for students to fully develop their personalities and creativity, while also enhancing their analytical skills. By teaching information through visual means and offering unique experiences that encourage curiosity, we have seen firsthand the benefits of this approach. It not only broadens students’ understanding of their environment but also allows them to connect with the world around them in a deeper and more meaningful way. Our approach to education is centered on creating an environment that fosters growth and development in every student, empowering them to become lifelong learners and successful contributors to society.

Alsohba recognizes the vital importance of teaching computer skills to young children, including those who are hearing-impaired and particularly those in public schools. Our computer skills program includes sessions on how to conduct research using Microsoft Office, including how to make a research plan, cite sources, create presentations, use Excel, and make videos. Topics for research are selected based on their potential to increase the children’s knowledge and awareness of important subjects, such as Egyptian history, culture, or other intellectually stimulating topics. By providing these skills, we aim to not only enhance their technical capabilities but also their overall intellect and identity. Our computer skills program has proven to open up a world of opportunities for young children, allowing them to acquire valuable skills that will prepare them for success in the future and increase their employability in a wide variety of industries.

We believe that cultural arts and crafts play an important role in the development and education of children. Unfortunately, the school system often neglects to provide opportunities for children to learn and explore their creativity through art. Our program aims to fill that gap by providing children with the tools, techniques, and resources they need to develop their artistic skills and express themselves through various forms of art. Through our program, children learn how to draw, color, make pottery, origami, decoupage, and more. We also teach them about the beauty and diversity of Egyptian culture, including the rich traditions and colors of Nubia, Sinai, and other regions of Egypt. By exposing children to different forms of art and cultural traditions, we hope to inspire a lifelong love of creativity and learning, while also fostering a sense of pride and connection to their cultural heritage.
